12. We recommend making the track 300 foot long by 30 ft wide. But the track must be a minimum of 200 feet in length and a minimum of 20 feet in width. This will allow room for the sled and pull back tractor at the start line and a run-off space after the full pull line. The pull start line, a 60 foot false start line, a full pull line and side boundaries of the track must be marked by chalk lines. There must also be a minimum of 10 feet between the sideline of the track and the spectator area.
13. It is recommended that the sponsor provide a means to water the track in case of dry dusty conditions.
14. Sled owner along with Western IA Garden Tractor Pullers will take care of tractor weighing, hooking and flagging. Western IA Garden Tractor Pullers will assist each town with tractor sign-in and scoring.
